The bowling tournament "Ciudad de Torrevieja", will be held for the twelfth consecutive year in Ozone Bowling Torrevieja, between 21 and 29 September.

Last week we presented the XII International Open "City of Torrevieja" 2024 and IV Torrevieja Senior Open in Ozone Bowling Torrevieja, with the presence of the councilman of sports, Diana Box, Jorge Almarcha, manager of Optica Mar, main partner of the tournaments and Jarmo Peltonen, organizer of the same. This tournament is one of the most international tournaments in Spain, appearing in the official calendar of the European Bowling Federation (EBF). Simultaneously, in Ozone Bowling Torrevieja, will also be held another international tournament for players over 50 years old.

The qualifying phase of the Open Ciudad de Torrevieja will end on Saturday 28 September, while the final phase between the first 32 classified, will take place during Sunday 29 September, culminating with a phase of confrontations of a single game between the top eight scorers / as. The player with the highest score will receive a check for €3,000 and a trophy. In addition to the open category, this tournament has two lower categories: Category B, for participants with averages between 189.99 and 170; and Category C, for players with averages below 170.

On the other hand but simultaneously, will be played for the fourth consecutive time, the Torrevieja Senior Open, a different tournament of six games for players who have turned 50 years. Its final phase will be played on Friday morning, September 27th.

A very relevant fact about both tournaments is that more than 75% of the participants come from outside Spain, with a total of twenty different nationalities, a record for this type of event.
